protege5online.com slow?

Is it just me, or is protege5online.com slow? I have a cable connection at home, and T3 at work, and both are very slow when connecting to the page. I tried sending an email to the webmaster, but i didnt recieve a response. Also, when I cancel out of the page, my system sometimes gets bogged down, my CPU usage meter in Win2K and WinNT maxed out at 100%, which is strange.

thought so...

I figured its a bunch of useless java crap. Java tends to do that most of the time, flash isnt that bad. Is the webmaster a member of this board? I love simple websites, if you make it to complicated/non-user friendly, then people will just leave your site and never come back. Dont get me wrong, I like the site/content, but I hate that on a fast connection, it takes forever for the site to come up.

Theres actually no java (or maybe 1 thing) on the site. Nothing special on the site. Its a basic coded site with very little fancy stuff. Its all small simple pictures & text. There is the banner that shows a couple of products on the opening page & there is a banner add for magazines (little magazine cover on the side...very small). Now, if you sent me an e-mail, I never received it. I get about 50 e-mails a day & try to respond to them all but sometimes they do get hard to respond immediatly. But I do try to respond within a day or 2 to any questions sent to me. So, if you have any suggestions or can tell me exactly where it seems to bog down, I can check into it. When I first put up the site & with my last server, I did feel it was slow. But with the new server & fixing some things, it seems faster to me. I do notice some slowness randomly but its normally due to server bog & just general internet speed. Everywhere can be slow at times!! But do let me know if you see problems. I'll fix everything I can. I want the site to be as best as it can!

Well, if i disabe java in IE, the page loads fine, and is fast. I have a cable connection, 1ghz cpu, 256mb ram, 64mb gcard, so I dont think its my computer. Im running Win2K. Like I said, if java is on, the page loads, but it boggs down everything else on my system. Java tends to do that Other than the java thing, GREAT SITE !

Weird. The only thing java on that site (that I know of) is the first page, that banner that has the 3 ads for different product (coil overs, intakes, bras). The magazine thing may be java so I'll take it off & see how that works. Hopefully that does it.
