I was locked out recently, too.
I had gotten out to drop off some mail. And came back to the car to find I locked myself out. Music blasting and car turned on, fart cannon blasing, to attract the most attention. After a while of looking sad I ran home 6 blocks, long blocks, and ran back with a spare key.
It really sucked, everyone was staring at me as I stumbled into the car, weezing up a storm.
