Kartboy Exhaust Hangers
TO ALL
Just installed Tom's Exhaust hangers and what a difference. The stock hangers are like silly putty in comparison. The Bosal Catback exhaust barely moves. The vibration is way down. Discovered that the Bosal system get about 1/4 to about 3/8 of an inch longer after it heats up. Thus it was rubbing against the P5's bumper. I removed the two bottom plastic clips and inserted two rubber bushings between the bumper cover and the steel subframe. This gave me the extra 1/4 inch clearence that I didnt know I needed before. The plastic screws/rivets re-instered just fine. Cant remember the thread I read in the past, but to whomever noticed the difference between the 10mm and the 12mm hangers THANKS. The install took about 20min since I knew the 12's where the rear and the 10's the front. Windex worked great as a lubricant for removal. Highly endorse this product. And toTom at Kartboy
Thanks Mickey

I was searching and found this. Wondering if these would be worth purchasing for my G-Fs ride. I purchased the rear section only off of here and was wondering if they would help out much and if they did what they would help.
hate to wake the dead, but bought some of these - should be shipped out monday, anything i should be aware of when installing the exhaust hangers? (besides the fronts/10, backs/12) - downloaded instructions for the bushings... anything else I should know on these.
I just put these on my car. Except for putting the wrong size on the rear initially (don't ask), they went on with no trouble. Like Roddimus says, use WD-40. You will have to put some elbow grease into pushing the Kartboys on, especially on the forward muffler mounts where they face opposite each other. I have noticed more cabin vibration at idle, but it isn't that bad (I have a Racing Beat cat-back).
