Question Kartboy Exhaust Hangers

Anyone using the Kartboy Exhaust Hangers for the P5? I just ordered a set to try and eliminate a vibrating noise from the rear hatch area when the A/C compressor kicks on during idle speeds at a traffic light. I have the Bosal Exhaust with the silencer insert. I had the exhaust put on in December 2002 so this is the first time that I have heard this. The silencer is in to appease the wife during her commute to work. I'll take it out this weekend to see if this vibration disappears. Any info will Helpful.

I have them. They work well, but I wish they were an extra
1/4 - 1/2" lower. The old hangers were a pain to remove.

which reminds me I need to check the bolts on my racing beat
this weekend.

Will they raise the exhaust? I guess what I'm asking is if the Kartbays are shorter than the stock hangers.

Yes, they raise the exhaust. I installed just the rear Kartboy hangers on my P5 (I've got the RB catback.) Didn't fair too well...

The Kartboy hangers are not only a bit shorter that OE in overall length, but don't stretch at all due to the durometer of the Delrin they use in production. This caused the RacingBeat Muffler tip to sit entirely too close to the bumper cover cutout. The tip would bang like crazy against it over bumpy road conditions, and going around corners.

I'd like to see Tom make these .5" longer in length as well. That would make the RB sit about where it sits now with the OE hangers.

HTH - Jim

BTW - I've got a set of 4 for sale if anyone needs them.
