i just recently bought bolt on headers for my '01 protege, i have some rumors that i may need to modify other engine parts, is this true?

 

If the header eliminates either one of the cats (if you have two) or cat, then you will need an O2 simulator so a check engine light is not thrown. Otherwise, as long as the O2 sensor and EGR bungs are in place, you should be set.

did you get the MIL with the header? Some places have it as an option.

also, what brand header did you get and how much was it shipped to your address?

 

i got the OBX header, it was i think 19.95 for shipping, they said it was custom method of shipping, the site i found them on is www.streetstyler.com
