Intake question

I just installed a racitve intake and everything had a place and fit fine, except for one part. I think its a sensor and it was in the tubing coming out of the engine. it was a gold metal piece that slid into the top of the tubing and had two small black hoses coming out of it. There was nowhere to connect this on my new intake. What is this thing and is it ok to not be connected. basically there were three sensor type things on my stock intake and only two are now connected. any help would be appreciated.

You need to mount it somewhere so it doesn't bounce around and/or become lose. Doesn't need to be on the intake though. Mounting it on top of the intake manifold works pretty well if you have the right brace. Duct tape would probably work also.

I'm happy I got everything I needed WITH instructions with my Injen

Get a twist tie and tie in onto the small yellow tube that leads from the intake to the engine.
