I'm a newbie in here and need some answers please!!!

Hi Yea im a newbie and a chic!!!! I have a oo protege LX and am wantin to spruce my motor up a bit!! But the only thing i think i'm gonna have a problem with is that it's an automatic??? Anyone wanna shed some light on me please!!!!

ive seen a stall converter for a honda auto so i would look for something like that

well you can start with opening up the intake a bit with either a cold air system or if you are limited to funds you can build your own with a trip to home depot and a drop in K&N that will add a little pull on your motor and maybe a catback exhaust to free up the back pressure a bit. as for the automatic tranny well, a stall performance tourqe converter are a little pricey and with that I would strongly suggest a transmission cooler because they tend to heat up a little more (tourqe converter)plus it would prolong the life of your tranny. I have a freind who has a 96' honda civic with a non V-tec motor and an automatic but with no cats, cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust, is ok but better than it was when it was stock trust me.
