I am sure I can hit 100mph and maybe a little more in my automatic... I just need to find a longer good road in my area...

yeah mine will hit 120 too, but you have to measure the time from 0-120 with a calender, not a watch.

I'm on vacation at miami right now so I was able to buy my HU here, I got it yesterday and I'm dying to go back to my country to finally install my sound sys.

My parents have a PO Box in Miami. There is a freight forwarder company here called TransExpress. You pay a membership fee each year, and they give you a phisical address, and a PO Box in Miami.

That way I can order anything I want from the States, and TransExpress ships everything that arrives to the PO Box or the phisical address (some companies don't ship to PO Boxes, so they give you a normal address as well). They usually ship things to El Salvador within two or three days of it arriving to Miami.

They also offer the exact same service in Venezuela. Check it our if you're interested. Just select the country:

Oh, ok. My dad also had one of those PO box service things, I think it was called Mailboxes, I don´t know if he still has it or not but I don´t use it anymore.

I had the perfect pic in my PC for thise thread , oh well:

just out of curiousity, do you 1.6 owners that say your car is extraordinarily(sp) slow, have tachs? if not.. i'd suggest getting one, and learning how to drive your car. if you do... i'd suggest you learn how to drive your car. i'm really not trying to be a dick.. but i'm tired of seeing people say how slow their 1.6's are.

No offense taken here!

I'm not complaining, I'm very happy with my car. I do like to joke about how 'unfast' it is but then, I'm not in the 'my-car-is-faster-than-your-car' scene. Mi car is used as a daily commuter (how do you people call it... a beater? ) and me and my S.O. use it as a weekend car too. I bought it because it is very comfortable, the windshield is very high (I don't like to drive reclined) and I really like the way it handles.

The only time I have to drive a little fast is when passing, and for that I just press the O/D button and give it a little gas...

For our purposes, the 1.6 fits the bill perfectly... And with good looks too!

A toast to the snailege!

Wait how dont you have a tach, mine came with one. I dont think that its very usefull for me though because I have an auto.
Its fun to watch it go up though.

There things are slow. maybe not extrodinaraly but damed slow. In part due to a 12 sec 0-60 and like a 19 sec quater mile time. Even the new hybreds are faster.

do they still make cars w/o a tach???? Only car i've ever been in without one is an old *** POS plymouth neon and my roommate's truck.

My god it's slow. The problem with it is that when you hit the gas you dont get any feel like your being put into the back of the seat. The thing prolly only has like a .1-.2g launch. I love my car though, but it's kinda like plastic surgery.....fix what you don't like.

Well, I call mine extremely slow because it's also an automatic. If it were a 5-speed I could control the revs much easier.

my friends impala 2002 is without a tach!

Go figure!

The LX has a tach, and I love to see the engine rev!

Oh, yes, I have a 1.6L too.

The car does not have much torque between 1k-3k.
But when you hit the 4-5K, the car pulls
