I finally got it!

After three months of torture trying to sell my car, I finally got the P5. It worked out that it took so long, since I really like the mid year changes. Here it is

Thumbs up

Great looking P5, and good job on the photo composition! Mazda should do so well!

Cool

I don't think I have seen the blue before - nice.

I have about 1,000 on my yellow P5. I'm really happy with it. It would be nice to have anothe 20 to 40 hp in those 10% of the times where I want more than the stock 130 hp. But I'm working on that! I find I really like the feel of the car, the interior lay-out, the seats are comfy and hold you tight when you corner fast, I'm pleased with the the deal I got on it (I think it is a steal for the performance you get), and the more I drive it I really like the size of it. I drove a Matrix at one point, and I don't know it just seemed big - not what I had in mind. The size of the P5 seems just right - small, but big enough to carry 4 adults if you need to, and drop the back seats, and haul stuff if you need to do that also.

I think Mazda did a lot of things right with the car.

CONGRATULATIONS Mopho. The blue does look sharp....and I do like the new wheels, but I wish they had them polished.

we went past our dealer today, and there was a blue one right on the end of the row, the sun was hitting it just right and my wife looks at me and says...HEY THEY HAVE A DEEP PURPLE ONE!! she is really partial to purple...I had to explain it to her that it was deep blue. lol just about had to turn around to prove it to her! lol

now all you need to do is get a CIA, get the windows tinted, B&M short shifter, get rid of that crapy stock stereo.....

Actually, I think the stereo is pretty good and don't have plans to change it. The six speaker upgrade may have made it better or maybe I am getting old. Window tint is next, but this is my work/ daily driver so I plan to leave it alone. OK, maybe an exhaust.

I agree there's nothing wrong with the stereo - Except for the speakers, of course.

I do like that blue, I haven't seen that before. I would prefer purple though, that's my colour too

*takes note of the paint thread and sulks*
*turns right back around and paints mine purple ;D*

Here's a suggestion - put on your absolute favorite song. I don't know what kind of music you listen to, but for me it was some Days of the New or the latest Tool album. Open the windows, and the moonroof, if you've got one. Get up to 70 MPH. Crank the stereo as high as you can.

Now that you are totally UNsatisfied with the system, get on eBay and start looking at decks, amps, subwoofers, etc.........

J/K of course, but this is really what happened to me - I was satisfied with the system for a few months, but it sucks to rock out to great tune when you really can't hear it or there is tons of distortion.

I didn't think I'd change my stereo at all. But that didn't last long......

If you read Edwin's review of the 2002½ cars, they do come in polished form if you choose them.

OR- I could roll up the windows, close the sunroof, turn on the A/C, Poi Dog Pondering in the deck, and save what is left of my hearing (too many Grateful Dead concerts, and race car engines at close proximity) and what is left in my wallet
Besides, putting a sub in the back defeats the point of the car for me, which is to have a fun equipment hauler

I like those wheels alot better then the older ones. There was no stereo upgrade when I bought mine either. Just the 6 disc and md player. Any ways love the ride
