a car shop!He said the coolintake fit the P5 but not the 2001protege!

A 2.0L is a 2.0L ... the engine is the same so it doesn't matter. How much did he charge you for that short ram?

100CAD for the ram.I think that is some misunderstanding.He said that 2001 protege have a place to the cold air intake.

You have a 2.0 liter engine right? If so, then you CAN get a cold air intake for your car.

WHY do you need a picture..it is EXACTLY the same as the P5 or any other 2.0L protege for that matter...your mechanic is WRONG

I don't understand what you mean ... how is your engine different from P5? Tell me what you see under my hood that's different from yours?

all you do is relocate the coolant resevoir over a few inches and it fits in the same place.

you need a new mechanic!!
