just curious how many peeps bought the ABS/side airbag optioned cars?

 

I bought the option as it sounded like a good idea at the time.

 

The ABS is standard in Canada so I'd imagine every Canadian version has at least ABS. Don't know about the side airbags, someone can correct me, but I don't remember them offered.

 

I've got the side air-bags. Thankfully, I don't know how well they work!
If you DO get them and put on seat covers, make sure the covers are compatable. or the air bags in your seat won't work.

 

Canadian cars came standard with ABS, and side airbags were not and are still not an option.

 

I got them all It's a good idea to protect yourself as much as possible in the streets, even if you don't break laws... stupid people run into others all the time...

If SAB's were available in '99, I definitely would have gotten them. Too bad they became available starting in year 2000. My next car WILL have SABs, and SACs if available. Hopefully the Mazda3 will have these.

that's the only two options I want...one is moonroof..the other is abs/side airbag..

My seats are recovered in Katzin leather which has special stitching in order to allow the airbags to deploy. Their website has an animation that shows how side airbags deploy with their seat covers on. It is pretty cool! Katzkin Leather

i got the whole package the only options i dint get were leather beacuse in florida you have to keep up with it too much or it will crack and crome rims but hey im gonna change them anyway... i figured hey my first new car was all basic... i might as well go all out this time and spend the money right if im gonna spend it.
