Man, don't even think about dropping your collision coverage like Zeriak recommended. (he got his A-B scenario back wards, with a loan you have to cover your a$$ or they'll send out the repo guys. Without a loan think about whether you can take a $15,000 hit in the case of a "total"). Your car is worth too much. Even wholesale on a trade it's probably worth $12,000 or better and that's all an insurance company would first offer. It sure beats me how anyone in the insurance business would even offer no collision as an opinion. Raise your deductibles, get multi-car coverage, add your home or renters insurance policy to your car carrier. W/O collision you may save a grand a year, big deal! One good crash where you can't prove you were absolutely not at fault and you will be sorry. I'm 42, good record and still pay thru the nose!

I pay $1800 a year full coverage - 22, female, 1 accident at fault and 1 not at fault.

I get %15 off from my workplace plus they have good prices. Everywhere else I checked was over 2 grands!

Just myself I am paying 90 dollars a month. To get my wife on as occasional cost me an extra 10 bucks.

After my previous post I thought it might be of interest to the group to find my policy and let you know what an old fuque is paying in a Detroit suburb. My policy is maxed out for liability as allowed by Michigan state law. I have multi car discount, my home owner's thru the same firm, age rating 40-44 years, clean record (finally!), and 5-10 miles one way to work. Deductibles: $100, comprehensive, $250 broad collision. I pay $659.10 every six months. It sounds like some of you are getting a pretty good deal while many are paying a lot. the car is expensive to repair but it gets "good" ratings in most injury reports.

I'm paying 1,500 per year about. One serious ticket (20+ over the limit). My deductables are set at $500. For an ES though. I'm assuming the P5 is going to have higher insurance rates.

Question which company

To all the Canadians who got insurance rates less than $2000 per year:

Which companies are you guys with...i am currently looking to switch companies to lower my insurance...currently with state farm insurance and i pay 170/month with basic life insurance.

Any info would help thanks!

I'm 24 w/ no accidents or tickets (knock on wood!!) (and I mean tickets worth demerits...I have 2 Photo radar *** rapings).

I pay $130 CDN/month and I'm with ING Western Union...so that's about $1560/year.

I checked and when I turn 25 the rates will drop, but only by about $10/month...oh well...As Scrooge McDuck says, "A penny saved is a penny earned!"

BTW, my collision deductible is $500 and my comprehensive deductible is $250 (If i'm reading this form right).

I am 19 and been in 1 accident (my fault) and have 1 ticket (19 over) with an ES. I just got my car and my insurance company quoted me $850 every 6 months. Thats with multi-car, home, and drivers ed discounts. The car is in my parents name so I can get cheaper insurance.

31, female, unmarried, homeowner, Central Texas, no tickets, two comprehensive claims in the last 2 years (one deer hit, one rock damage claim). $250 deductible, high limits (no policy in front of me, but I know I chose liberal amounts) with rental coverage, and defensive driving class discount of 10%.

=

$177 a month for my '02 Protege 5 and '00 S2000, so that is $1020 a year for my P5 alone.

Suddenly, I feel a lot better about my rates after reading about you guys'!
