I was just wondering how they are, if they are, different in any respect. Just curious after knowing the Mazda6 may be tuned towards a more comfy ride at the expense of handling when it comes stateside.

So far I just know that the European Protege's have a different steering rack than the ones here, except for the MP3, which used that rack.

depending on the market....engine sizes are different in some countries....lights are of different styles....both front and rear. of course SOME have speedo's in KPH, in SOME european markets at the bottom of the tach is a little readout that has information from an onboard computer that figures MPG, outside Temp, direction (n,s,e,w you are driving). just to name a few little differences.

Oh I wish ours had that SOOOO bad.. I really want one of the mirrors with that info on it..but they cost just as much as a GPS! I'd much rather pay the extra and have it right in the dash..

Is the computer totally different or do our computers calculate those things too but just don't display them anywhere?

I have no clue....the guy that had pics of his car with that display was from Finland I think....I didn't know what it was when I saw it...and ask him.
