True. That's why I'm upgrading to the AWR rear bar. I've already got the MazdaSpeed struts, which are adjustable Tokicos. The strut housing looks identical to the MP3, except it's light green instead of light blue. The front bar is too big a pain to change unfortunately, so I'll probably just switch to some universal polyureathane bushings to firm up the front.

Cool MP3 suspension

I didn't think about that. I was just going off what they had said on their web-site and what the guy I was talking to there had said. From what they told me it sounded like they changed quite a bit to fit the bigger sway bars.

Thanks for the info though.

The end links mount to the strut body, but the frame mounts are on top of the subframe. The front bar runs above the subframe, making it impossible to remove without removing the front subframe. That's a lot of work for a sway bar! I guess the reason was ground clearance with their front sub frame design. But that's just a guess, Suspension Techniques made an add on bar for the front of the 1st gen, so they were able to find a place to put it.

Where does the front sway mount to on the cars? Is it to the strut?

And why cant they make the front sway bars as easy to replace as the rear. I did my rear in like 15 mins, once the car was on jackstands. The front is damn near impossible!
