Hello all - new member

Just wanted to say 'Hi'. I am the owner of an 02 ES 5-spd. I bought the car back in September and have been generally quite please w/ it. Better bang for the buck than a Civic, Toyotas never quite fit me (6-3 @ ~190), and I just didn't care for the Sentra.

Of course I'm a motorhead (I'm at an enthusiast site, right?) and while the car is stock at the moment, w/i one year, I'd like to install a turbocharger and 2-1/2" exhaust.

I'll be checking in periodically...

Paul

hi tec and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have.

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I'll do my best - while it won't be my first turbo car, it will be my first turbo project (Flyin' Protege is the current frontrunner). Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something to the site of a technical nature - til then I'll hang out and chime in on the more social aspects!

Thanks for the welcome all!

Definitely learn to drive a manual. It is more fun, and it's just a damn useful skill to have!

Sticks are nice but if you have ever driven in South Floridas traffic you would begin to lose grasp of your sanity. The fun in a stick is going through the gears not:

1-2-nuetral-1-nuetral-1-2-nuetral-1

I got the automatic with the "manual" on the side. Good enuf for when i feel like watching the tach hit red.

I drove sticks in/around Atlanta for five years before I moved down here to "lower Alabama"...

Normal bad traffic is tolerable, but I will be hatin' life the first time I have to evacuate for a hurricane...
