I have the 85watt (performs like 135watt) H3s from PIAA. My stock fuse is a 15. I blew one fuse during my bumper replacement (put the MP3 bumper on), not sure how I caused it. NO problems with melting plastic or blowing fuses afterwords. I don't have the MP3 fog lamps, I put the PIAA 40 Series Rounds in. They have a nice wide beam pattern. Had to make a custom bracket but wasn't too much of a big deal. Changing to those lamps may not help your problem, but it will look nice. I think you just got a bum set of bulbs. Check to see if you have two fuses for the fogs, see if it's blowing both or one, maybe switch the bulbs if only one. Something may have been shorted when putting the lamp back together. GOOD LUCK.
