i have an ES. But I can't do anything else with my wifes car (the 626) Cuz she is like $3000 negative equaity. But right now the car is in the Trans Shop getting the trans rebuilt for the 3rd time in less than a year.

Get the spec-V. If it was out when i bought mine i would have got it.
My 02 ES/GT - $20,580CDN
02 Spec-V - My roomate talked them down to $21,690CDN
I love the front of the Spec-V, but i am not a fan of the taillights. The Spec-V spoiler makes such an improvement over the SE-R though.
175hp and 6speed transmission and 17' rims PLUS the Rockford Fosgate 10 speaker system STOCK are also some good points

Like i said, i would have bought one if they were out(came out 1 month after i got mine, BAH!) But i still LOVE my Protege!
