Got side swiped
 

Well i let my wife drive my car to NY this weekend and she got into a wreck. She said the guy was coming off a merge ramp right before the bridge (George Washington). My wife hit his bumper on the back left side. The guy said it was his fault and the police soposedly said it was his fault. But i don't know for sure. They said we had to mail in for the ticket. So we are gonna go get it fixed by his insurance company. And i think im gonna trade my 626 in for a Spec-V or Z24 (aka the LS Sport) and let my wife keep the Pro. I don't know it just dosen't feel the same now that its been wrecked.

I know how you feel....i 360'd my Pro, and ended up taking out a mailbox :) ....i took my eyes off the road as i was going around a corner TO change stations!!?! :dunno: lol When i noticed i was going OFF the road, i overcorrected and spun out! Oh well, that's the stupid stuff you do; AND it could have been a lot worse!

Anyways, the front fender was crunched, and my car just didn't seem the same - that was 8 years ago. The body shop didn't do the best of jobs either fixing it.
But heh, i hung on to it and pretty soon i'm going to get it repainted and hopefully looking sharp!

may i suggest instead of the Z24 or spec 5, the Matrix XLS, i drove it and fount it to be alot of fun

I really don't like the station wagon thing. I drove a P5 but found my car to be a lil more fun. I really don't like the look of the Matrix. That's just my opinion.

Spec V is fast and fun....2 concerns...getting a good deal, and very few aftermarket parts out there.

I almost bout one...in fact if the buttheaded Nissan Dealers locally would have acted less snobby I would have....the car is hot...but i can buy others and enjoy em just as much...hence the red P5 in the driveway

I just really don't like the way the Spec-V (or the Sentra) looks. The Spec-V looks like they mutated the front end of a Frontier to fit. The regular Sentra just looks like a blob. Try a new 2002 Protege ES if you don't like the wagons. Or try and hook up a Mazdaspeed (good luck). I have no personal hates for the Z24. Design is getting a little dated but thats about it.

You sound as if you think you wife is at fault, well she's not. person in the lane has the right of way and does not have to move for the other car that is merging.:mad:

Not necessarialy true....it depends on where the yeild sign is...if there even is one.

sucks to hear that dude! i gotta recommend the SpecV, if not id wait for the mazdaspeed pro to come out.....

I would get a spec V....can you say sleeper !
The matrix is fun to drive...but I can`t stand the styling. and for the mazdaspeed, well I`m sure it`s gonna be a great car...but if they charge more then the mp3....it will be overpriced.

she was on the highwayabout to go over the GW I know the road. she had the right of way. think of it like this if you're driving in the right lane on the interstate and there is an on ramp with cars coming onto the highway you do not have a yield sign, do you?

like I said...its NOT always like that.....just an observation.....and 99 didn't state who had or didn't have the yeild sign.....here....you can find it BOTH ways....you just have to pay attention.

well...
acctually come to find out he didn't come off the on ramp. he was in the lane next to her and he drifted in to her lane. That's what my wife said. The cab driver said that she was behind him and she came and hit him. From looking at both vehicles there is no possible way that it was her fault. However we will have to see what the police say.
As for the spec v being a sleeper...how can it be a sleeper?Everyone knows that the damn thing has 175 hp and 180 tq. And the SE-R is only 10hp and tq below that. But anyway the only reason im getting the Cavalier LS Sport is cause they got a $3000 cashback on it.

heres a good sleeper....Focus SVT...or Get an ES Pro and Buy the Tri-Point Turbo...dont buy the cavalier though...my sister has one and it handles like a tank compared to my pro...
