What do you guys reccomend as far a adding fog lights to my 1999 Protege LX 1.6? I'd appreciate any info anyone can offer. I've seen fogs on the 99/00 models that look like factory style (they fit the the cut-outs perfectly), if anyone knows anything about these please let me know.

 

please do not double post in different sections. one section is sufficient. welcome to the board... as for the fog lights you're speaking of, only the OEM's are available (that i've seen), at a fairly high cost i believe, last time i checked it was around $250.

 

I could be misinformed but when I checked with my local dealership before about this, I was told the kit is only available for 00+. I'm not sure why this wouldn't include the 99, he wasn't sure. Since it was for my girlfriends car, she not to worry about buying something that expensive that may or may not need to be "tweaked" to fit. Maybe the 00 came pre wired or already with brackets or something. Or maybe the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I'm not sure, mine came with fog lights

 

This is the same thing I was told by my local dealership (that they were only available on the 01/02 models). I've seen fogs that fit the cut-out perfectly several times, I was only able to stop the person with them once and he told me his car was a 1999 ES and his dealership told him they are only available for the ES models in those years, this doesn't make any sense to me!
