It is illegal in Calgary to tint the windows forward of the driver's shoulder (ie. the front windows, but not including moonroof or front "eyebrow").

If you go real light, CPS (Calgary Police Service) may not pull you over, but if you go dark or especially reflective on the front driver/passenger window, I can gurantee you'll be getting a ticket.
