Finally got my SWEET MP5!

Due to the addition of a new puppy to the family, our '97 Civic Si just didn't have the room required, so when I saw the new P5 I had to get one! So I went to the dealer, traded in my Civic and started the proceedure to get my butt into one of these cool cars. I ended up getting the Sunlight Silver manual w/AC with the silver gradient tinting on the rear 5 windows ( looks cool, keeps the dog cool and most of all - hides the dog snot on the windows!) I then had the dealer install an intake , the G-Spec perfomance exhaust ( installed a silencer so my wife wouldn't kill me), a 2 way FM/FM alarm system and the rear step plate so the pup doesn't scratch the paint. I picked it up last night and couldn't get the grin off my face! When I was single I used to own muscle cars ( mainly 60's 'stangs) but now that I have to atleast act grown up, I think that the P5 is a hell of a lot of just plain fun to drive! Since I got it I have been too busy driving and enjoying the experience, I haven't taken any photos. As soon as I stop, I will post them. Talk too you all later - Off to cruise more of Calgary!

All I can say is that I sure hope that puppy's not a yellow lab......

If it is, those silvered windows are going to be hiding more than dog snot.

No - she's not a Yellow Lab - lol. She is a Boxer named Scully. You can see the mess on the windows from the inside of the car but from the outside they still looks sweet.

Ya - the G-Spec exhaust was installed through my dealer and it is still covered by the warranty. The same goes for the intake. I don't know what the diffrence is between the G-Spec and the Mazdaspeed exhaust. If anyone knows, I would be interested in hearing it. As soon as I get the batteries recharged for the digi-cam I will post some pictures of the car and the exhaust and the intake.

Well I finally had some time to take some pictures. Let's hope that this link works. Let me know if it does not, but if it does - cool!

Car looks nice man. Exaust is cool, i would have not put the silencer on though, but i guess with the wife i can understand. I love the purr i get out of my custom when i rev to 4 and then just let go of the gas and let the RPM's drop....mmmmm.

The dealership here in Chililwack sucks, they know nothing about aftermarket. Oh well, ill have to do it all on my own !

Nice Car! Tell the dealer to get the silver tinting on the front two windows and it'll look great!

I don't know how much truth there is to this, but the dealer said that the silver gradient tint "can not be applied to the driver, front or passenger windows due to the reflective properties and that it is a safety issue for police in case they pull you over"( they wouldn't be able to see a gun or what you are doing I guess ) Personally, due to the deep tint, I would probably find it quite hard to drive with it on the two front side windows anyway, but thanks for the compliments.
