Exhaust note variations?

Alright, i just read about 10 million threads on the mazdaspeed exhaust, and heard a few really good .WAV recordings. Question is, does the mazdaspeed exhaust (axle-back) sound different by itself on a stock P5, than on a P5 with an Ractive SRI? I heard one clip where it sounded like the guy had intake (you know the sound when you gas it up) but it wasn't very clear. Does anyone know if it sounds deeper? More throaty or raspier? (with a SRI ) as compared to with just stock air intake?

Reason why i'm asking is i'm getting the mazdaspeed exhaust installed this Saturday and i really like the sound of it with the stock intake, and if it sounds whiny combined with the SRI, then i might think twice.

Thanks,
Eat noodles.

Thumbs up

I would imagine if your running a aftermarket intake then the exhaust would be alot deeper than with a stock intake. But thats just my opinion. Im running it with the stock intake and its really deep. From all the post i have read i have never heard anyone saying its whiny, majority think its too loud, but i think it is perfect. Most people ive talked to on here that got the exhaust with a aftermarket intake says its really deep and i do for a fact remember someone stateing that its deeper with a intake than with the stock one...I would go for it man, you wont regret it..hehehe...Hope this answers your ?

Mine has a deep evil tone, sort of like its a v-8 and v-4 engine mixed together slight rumble that explodes to a howl!

I need to make a sound clip since i have the most unique exhaust on this board.

NO ONE else has an ANSA AUTOMOTIVE EXHAUST

ANSA IS STOCK 'OE' on FERRARI AND LAMBORGHINI so they know about exhaust and sound.

A local place here in florida sells them, they make specific exhaust and universal ones.
Mine is a universal one , I heard they are working on one for the p5 thoe.

Its a very unique sound , I upgraded the piping of course to 2.25 inches. The muffler itself is a non resonated oval tip.

UN7824 on this page = http://www.ansaautomotive.com/html/ss_mufflers_2.html

got to the ansa sport section and see all the cars they have.
