Unhappy Engine studder at idle!

I'm not sure if you guys notice this. But for the past couple days I notice as the engine warms up the car will shudder for once. Usually you won't notice it unless you're stopped with the engine at idle.

Here's the detail: I usually drives off after started the car for 1 min or so. About 30 seconds after the temp gauge stops climbing I notice the engine shakes a bit...and along with that the idle speed drops to about 4-500rpm. Then it'll raise back to the normal speed. This all happens within a second and like I said you probably won't notice it unless you're stopped with engine at idle.

So...anyone have the same experience? And could that (studder/idle dropping) be caused by the VTCS valve switches open?

Yes, my Pro does that too. The first time it happened, I thought it was about to stall, but then the RPM's picked back up. I suspected a vacuum hose, but everything checked out.

Anyone else experience this?

I posted this a while ago I had the exact same problem with my car.

This happened after the car was started on a hot day .

It started fine then it shuddered and died, it did this 4 times in a row then the check engine light came on , it hasnt done it since.

ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS PROBLEM COULD BE???

HELP US OUT!?

Hmm...interesting. Guess what guys...the 01 Acura EL I traded in for the P5 has the exact problem. That's why I'm so worried. The EL stalls very often, like 5-6 times during a 30 mins drive. It started as a shudder idle, then turned into complete stall out as the mileage increases. I've had some pretty close calls at intersections, stalls out complete while I'm making a left turn. Also stalled out while I was slowing down on the highway, at about 70km/h it just went out completely when I was crusing in neutral. Lost the power steering and I had to start it up while it's rolling.

I only have 600kms on the P5 now, did a complete fill up once last week and the tank is at the 3/4 mark now. No mods have been done yet.

Edit: And so far I haven't notice it happen after it's completely warmed up. But it always happen once if I start the trip with a cold engine.
