electrial problems!!

electrial problems!!

i'm lost on this one, dash lights are dim, heater lights don't come on at all?..and noticed today when i turned the heater on i lost power to the car big time!!!..i checked the ground wire to the battery,checked the volts on the battery all good..i took out the bulbs to the heater controls and they was fine so i checked where the bulbs go with my meter and all was good??????????..any help would be great..thanks

Could be the alternator. Mine died recently, same troubles you described.

Since the alt keeps the car running, the battery could be perfectly fine yet you still lose power.

I'd get it tested for voltage output before it leaves you dead somewhere.

Note: Do most Proteges have alt problems, or was I just unlucky?

Not many problems seen-to-date...

As the fleet ages - i expect it though.
