E-brake light on while driving....

Hey, did a search and came up with nothing, and as it states in the title, I was driving the other day when the E-brake light just came on, but it went away and I didnt think much of it. So today, I was driving and it happened again! It went off for a few minutes but than came back on again and as far as I know stayed on for the rest of the way home(5-10 minute). So I was wondering what might be causing this and what I could do to fix it? I know you guys can help....Thanks!

brake pads getting low will sometimes trigger a brake light since the calipers have to squeeze further down and use more fluid. Who thought something as simple as looking at your fluids could tell you that your brakes may not be real safe.

I agree -- with your fluid that low, there's something else going on...

hey scotty do you have 4wheel discs????if so you might just need new pads but more than likely there is a leak somewhere in the lines

Hey, filled the fluid the other day(the 10th), and the light went away. Re-checked fluids today and they were fine, so I dont think their is a leak, but I'll double check again later in the week just to be safe! Thanks for the (easy) help!

better have those brakes checked....thats a LOT of fluid to be missing...your pads have GOT to be getting low if you don't have a leak.
