The sport 20 has different taillights and emblems. They also have black housing headlights-I believe that they're standard in Canada as of the '03 model year. HID is an option in Japan. That's about it. The US P5's are as close to the JDM ones as you can get.

Yeah pretty much the the JDM Sport 20 has the FS-ZE 170 hp engine compared to the US 130 hp.

For '99 (the 1st yr of the Sport 20) the front end looked like the front end on my car minus the AutoExe front lip. http://www.cardomain.com/id/sport20. For the newer years ('01-'03) the share the same front end as our P5's. They came in both 4WD and FWD witht the manumatic tranny. Also as mentioned the rear taillights are different...P5...the JDM Sport 20 taillighs look like the US sedan rear lights.

Japan did come out with the sedan version of the Sport 20 I believe in 2002. Looks exactly like the MP3/Mazdaspeed but with the FS-ZE.

Yes. The other names of the Protege are listed in exhaustive detail in the FAQ.

I do, yes, but if you're looking for the black headlights, just do them yourself and save a few hundred bones...
