and if he doesn't....KICK HIS A$$ :{D....or get a BIG guy to do it for you.

no really....if your dealer installed it...or had it installed as a dealer option on a new vehicle...he will certainly honor any warentee for that item.....and if he didn't...I would be very surprised.

The dealer should honor the warranty if they had it installed for you, no doubt. But, if you have had any issues with the dealer (as I have), and don't want to bother, try contacting the shop that put it in. My roof is a SolAire, install set up by the dealer - done before I took delivery. Mine has acted up, too, but the install shop put a sticker inside the glovebox, so I knew who to call. They have been very helpful - I've had minor trouble - a bit more wind noise than I'd like to hear, and the "auto-back-up" feature (for safety, in case it clamps something) is too sensitive - sometimes the roof will not close. Both of these seemto be worse in cold weather, which is logical. The shop has set an appointment with me to fix it - they said it's amatter of minor adjustments - should take less than 30 minutes. They've been very helpful - MUCH better than the dealer, those bastards. Look in your glovebox for the label, or ask the dealer who did it so you can go to them directly.

BTW - does the factory installed moonroof have the auto-back-up thing? Also, my roof closes itself about 10 seconds after shutting off the car - a very nice feature. Does the factory roof do this also? Just curious.

HiHO....I have a factory moonroof.....I am not sure if it has the auto backup feature or not....i DO know that it does NOT shut automatically if you don't do it yourself before turning off the car....HOWEVER>....if you set the factory alarm and leave the roof open....after a few minutes the alarm goes off to tell you that you didn't shut it....it also does this if one of the doors isn't shut 100%.....the complaint I have with this is it lets you walk across the parking lot....get a good distance away before it reminds you.....or in a lot of cases....completely inside where ever you were going.
