well ive found the sorce of my coolant smell would you beleive it was comming from the coolant resvoir it is leaking from the seam where the 2 halves are joined together, well i would take it to the dealer but that means putting my stock intake back on and a day without my car. F that ive got this industrial adhesive thatll do fine. but this is to you who have that dreaded coolant smell once in a while check everything check it good

I just bought a yellow "Speed" Protege yesterday, and a red Protege 5 for my wife, and noticed mine smelled like coolant, so I looked under the hood at mine and noticed a rubber overflow hose missing from the "Speed", where the "5" had one. I've noticed no leaks though, but the breathing of the cap with no hose could be the cause. Does your "Speed" have a black overflow hose on its cap? Thanks.

no its weird that some have them and some dont though i cant understand the logic in that.
