Smile The color yellow

Hi all,

Anyone having any paint chip issues with the yellow paint on their Protege5?

Is yellow a hard color to keep clean?

Thanks in advance!

You can't tell that the car is dirty from more than 20 feet. And that paint is just fine, then again I didn't drive to Kamloops yet, and let all the trucks pass me.....(that is very bad when a truck passes you) You feel like you're in the Shutle and milions of little rocks hit you at once for like 5 to 20 seconds. That caused some nice chips in my red P5.

Ouch. sorry to hear about what happened to your car. Thanks for the info.
I'm thinking of getting red too, just stuck between which color to go with! silver is quite nice too.

As I have posted many many times this Mazda Yellow Water baised paint sucks. It need yellow primer so the chips don't stick out so much.

I've seen Yellows and they look fine, but you need to look up close to see any chips. My laser blue is holding out good so far, washed it by hand twice, and I've only noticed one slight chip/mark in the clear coat. Contemplating getting a bra for winter, to help with salt and stuff like that. Either a bra or a deflecter.. I'm just not sure which. My Laser Blue otherwise is fine... when you get up close you can notice the dirt.. I swear I have to wash it everyday... only cause it's been raining on and off the past week or so. I just don't have the time, so right now it's once a week.

About the my red Pro5, It got a crack in the windshield from when I had rocks trown at me while driving 130Km\h. and as to the yellow paint, I have no idea what some people are talking about....I have my yellow Pro5 since July of 2002, and there is absolutly no paint chips in the front, + my wind shild got hit twice with a rock about 1\2 inch in diameter and the wind shiled didn't shadder or chack. This happend on the freeway and on both ocations the rock came from a truck( 18 weeler) but without the trailer. (I actualy ducked both times cuz I saw the rock fry towards me on).
