why bugs likes the color yellow

Out of curiousity (sorry if spelled wrong), how many sunburst yellow MP5 (or any other yellow cars), have problems with stupid little insects (thousands of them) sitting all over your car? It seems like my car is the only car that attracts insects in my neighborhood since i'm the only one with the yellow car. Why can't they hang around the blue, green or red cars. Why yellow? It's a pain in rear having to get into my car with these stupid insects flying into the car with me. It's terrible. Anyone here knows what i can do to get these insects off of my car forever? Or am I stuck with this problem for as long as I own a yellow car? LOL.

I get a lot of bugs on my silver car, but they're all squashed!

I have the same problem!! It's like their tanning themselves on the car! I'm pretty sure it's the colour that attracts them! Hey as long as they aren't dead, squashed bugs, its allll gooood!

Most if not all flying insects are attracted to the color yellow, in fact biologists use yellow cardbord covered with glue to trap bugs. So, basically if you covered your car with sticky stuff it would beone big moving bug trap!

My white car seems to attract them fairly well right after I wash it... I finish with the shamoi (sp?) and BAM!! bugs are crawling (seemingly) everywhere.

This could be detail spray. It smells fruity and seems to attract bugs quite well.
