Christmas in September

Today my P5 gets the 4 star treatment.

Every since I bought my Lancer Evolution my P5 has been left completly stock. Well today all that is about to change. B&M short shifter, Sony head, sub, and amp. I also got a "Number One" cat back exhaust. The exhaust is a little ricy with a 4.5in tip, but we will see....

I will let everyone how it all looks and sounds

4.5" is a big tip. hopefully it doesn't sounds like a hive of 40,000 pissed-off africanized honeybees.

Well 4hrs, 1 power nap and 4 more hours of work and she is all done.

I have to say it was total hell but I got everything on.

First I had a problem just jacking up my car. The damn concrete was so soft my jack was sinking and was throwing the car all off. We ended up jacking up only one side of the car. Because the car so low it was hard as hell to put some stank on the exhaust bolts. Took those off then with the exhaust off I installed the short shifter. Why didnt someone tell me I needed some damn retaining pliers, and thats all I have to say about that. We got the exhaust on and the damn bazooka sized tip is rubbing up on my bumper. The damn gaskets that came with the kit didnt fit so we had to rig that up. Also the studs on the factory cat didnt fit on the resenator pipe. Had to grind the holes larger. After that took her for a test drive. Sounds really good. After about 3K rpm its not that loud. Shifter is smooth as hell .

Nap

Next I started to install the radio. What ever you do do not try to take off the fake carbon fiber dash piece. Trust me on this one. The radio didnt want to come out. Even with the damn ford keys. 1hr, cut fingers, 3 bent keys and one broken radio later we got it out I was so pissed off that me and my homeboy pulled and Office Space and beat the hell out of the radio. Well long story short we got it in and it souds good sub and all. All in all it was a good day Sorry so long. Holla
