Unhappy Chip and dent...

Whaaaaa.... <tear drops>

My P5's first paint chip and dent... is on the fuel door. My poor baby. I noticed it yesterday but I don't know exactly when it happened to my baby. Touchup paint doesn't help... sigh... I know this is bound to happen... but... whaaaaaaa..... <tear drops>

I'm dreading the day when this happens to me.

No more then 3 hours ago my pager went off alarming me of a minor bump to my car so I'm like be right back and walk out side. What do I see some ************ lightly leaning up against my car talking to a friend of his. I'm calmly like didn't you hear the beeps man and why you leaning on my car? He's like chill out I didn't hurt it. God was I pissed. So naturally I ask politly again can you please get off my car. After a few minutes I pull out my cell and am like fine I'll call the cops (what I'm really doing is looking at my to-do list on my Phone/PDA).

Finally he gets off and says he sorry and he understands b/c he felt that way with his new car. After I pulled out the phone though it was like night and day he was a new man. After a few minutes of talking he asks how did I know he was leaning on my car and I mentioned my 2-way alarm system that if ANYTHING happens to touch/happen to my car I WILL know about it. Then he gawked over my alarm for awhile and I went back inside.

If I ever see someone scratch my car I will go mid-evil on their ***. And b/c of this alarm I will know the exact minute when someone dents, dings or scratchs my car and I'll call them on it.

Sorry to hear your lose and hope you put a bandade on your baby and it heals nicly.

Actually, it's pretty lucky that it's on your fuel door. That's the easiest place to fix. Just take off the fuel door and repaint it. Easy as that.

Yes, I actully feel lucky (ironic, isn't it?) when I confirmed that all the damage is on the fuel door. But still...

If it is aftermarket who makes it, I'd like to know I've had my fair share of scratches from punks dooring my old car I don't want it to happen to this beauty hehe any help would be appreciated.

I know it was off-topci and sorry to the original poster.

I mentioned a little write up on it in my Alarm/Starter Recomendations thread.

The system is a Clarion Ungo MS2007. I bought it from a local audio/alarm shop here and had them install it as well. Put a hole of $500 in my wallet but well worth it as I love this system. Copied from my other thread
First impression while talking to the installer. Defiently worth the money. He said it wasn't to hard to install although it took time to figure it out at first. Once he finished it and we played with it for awhile to figure out the buttons and program everything. WOW! very nice range and features.

Manual says around 1000ft range. I was able to park in the back of a wal-mart parking lot and go inside to the furthest partion and still query my car for a status.

Dual-Shock mode. If it gets a light bump the car will chirp and then the pager will let me know it was lightly bumped. Hard bump will fully set the alarm off and also pager again will let me know of a hard bump.

Remote start. Not only press a button to start it but it will let you know if it indeed did start or not. This is great so no more worring if the car did start or not as it'll tell you. Once you press the start button it will say starting then about 30-40 seconds later it'll play a little tune and say engine running. If you don't hear the tune simply press the start button again to retry. If the key is not in the ignition within 15 minutes it turns itself off or you can turn it off by pressing the button again.

Those are just some of the features I love about this. It has a lot more like any other normal system but I am very impressed so far and so was Extreme Audio who installed it.

On another side note they can't wait for me to come back for my custom audio install once I get this paid off as everyone there LOVED my MP5.

I have one chip on the hood and a dent where some ******* opened their door into mine. Its right on the rear door on that crease below the window. Happened the third day I had the car. I was so pissed. Its probably as cheap to replace the fuel door if it comes prepainted....if not get it painted.

My P5 has a few scratches near the end of the roof. I think it's from when the dealer drove it off the trailer at delivery. I didn't see it until after the car was mine. It didn't go through into the primer so the next time I get the car detailed I'll have my boyz give that spot some extra attention.

Damn that sucks! I feel for you. After hearing your story mine is nothing. I had my car for a week, and parked in a parking space near a f***N palm tree. and when I got back I noticed that a coconut hit my hood and made a nice dent. Anyway hope your car looks better.

Noticed a nice chip near my fog light. Looks more like a bug splatter than anything else.
