Brand New P5 Accident
WOW ....
I just remembered how this insurance thing works
They are allowed to use aftermarket replacement parts that are not the same quality as Mazda uses. Even if you take it to a Mazda dealer the insurance company can force them to use other parts. Make sure you are getting the OEM parts from Mazda.
If it is another shop that is doing the work then ask them to jack the price up by telling the insurance company that the aftermarket part does not fit properly and you have to use OEM.
Mazda parts are expensive .... this will push the price above the limit ....
Also , it is worth the $20 extra a year to get replacement insurance .... if the car is a write-off and and it is less than 3 years old .... they give you the original price you paid for the car.
Hope this helps.

The body shop I went to used all new parts. I got lucky. The guy told me that they stopped using aftermarket due to the numerous complaints.
