Mines is Burgandy, but here's an idea of what it looks like
I think you mean Beretta. I'll take my Pro over one of those any day (granted my last car was not a Z26). I never did like how the car handled or how it was styled.

I will say that the 3.1L V6 is a great motor, mine had ~150k miles and still got 31MPG on the highway. All and all it was a good car, but not one that I would even consider owning again (if you could get one new).

I still don't understand the "slow" comments. Good grief, how fast do you guys want to drive? I don't push my car hard at all, and I still leave half the crowd behind at stoplights. It also cruised along thru Colorado and Nebraska at 80-85mph without even trying. Sorry you blew an engine, but wow...

And didn't some of those Z26 Berettas have Quad 4's in them? If so, that would definitely make it a quick car. I had one of those in an Olds Calais, with a 5-speed. It's the only GM engine I've ever really liked...

yeah I think so... I'm pretty sure that 94 was the least year for the Quad-4. Made more power than the V6 and could be had w/ a standard (I think). I am pretty sure that all the V6s had an automatic tranny.

Thats how it works. They guy who spends the most time and money on his engine, the one who religiously maintains it and goes over every nut and bolt, is the one who blows his engine.

they guy who changes his oil once every 4 years is the guy whos car runs forever...

ps- if you bought a GM product, the last thing you want to do is to anounce it to the public. Please, spare yourself the shame...and what in the hell were you thinking anyway?

It was more like a gift from my god-father who LOVES to spoil me.

Anywho, he has 2 other cars and he rarely drove the Z26 and it's in VERY good condition. Heck, his paint has less chips than mines...lol. So anyway, the Beretta was his summer/weekend cruise car, but he just bought a new Mustang. I had no idea. He called me like 2 weeks ago saying he just wanted to drink and chill. Then showed me his new toy and said "I have no use for the Beretta". I started talking about how nice and clean the car was, and then he was like "you can have it".

I was like are you serious? Besides, he lives in an apartment complex, and its no use in letting it sit there taking up parking space.

So, I didn't really buy it and it was unexpected. Well, now I at least have something faster than my pro, for now. Its still in his name, but in my possession.
I still like my pro a lot more though.

*If he was selling it to me, I wouldn't have wasted my money on it.

The only GM I would waste my money on is a Fire Hawk

How is a GM product (beretta) faster than a Pro?? I had mine up to 130 last week. U Gotta invest in a hypertech to remove your limiter. But hey I'd drive it over walking anyday.

Actually the engine in there is the same from the older Grand Ams. I was doing 18s in that car and high 16s in the Pro.

Hey Redrims,

Now you can sell that Bow Tie Mobile and get a turbo set up for your car. HEHEHEHEHEHE

Like My Friend Says.

Only **** Drive Bow Ties LOL
JEff Gordon

Oh well.
Also dude must of not had valve in there coreectly to drop a valve not unless he is spraying nitrous which is dumb on a higher compressed motor. It does not take a rock sciencetist to understand the logistics of a motor. To spray you need lower compression. Oh well, **** Happens.

really!!!!!
theres alot more to it than just the static compression ratio

I don't understand what you're saying. Nitrous Oxide does NOT increase compression. It is not like a Supercharger or Turbo. Having higher compression has nothing to do with it. People spray cars with 11:1 compression all the time. WTF are you talking about?

Please explain to us (since you're obviously a much more knowledgeable person than we are on the logistics of a motor) how nitrous increases cylinder pressures. I would really like to know how this happens. Oh, wait... maybe because in the movie Fast and Furious, the guy sprayed his NOS and his laptop warned him of "DANGER TO MANIFOLD". So I guess that's where your reasoning came from.

He doesnt have a freaking clue obviously. maybe he should get some knowledge before arogantly running his mouth.
Maybe he learned that in rock scientist school?

Nitrous has a cooling affect and LOWERS the combustion temperature, thus making compression ratio less of an issue.

Many people with high compression motors spray the juice.

damn you guys get so angry real easy!!
any way to both of you you need to chill and i dont think he made any more comments so we dont know for sure what he meant.
anyway to a comment you made nitrous DOES increase dynamic cylinder pressures. this thread is not meant to be about the theory and operation of nitrous so i wont get into it any more.

you dont GET knowledge
you can AQUIRE it through reading and learning from others. this is not to flame you dont get upset . just trying to clear a couple things up.
the only thing that CAN (and if it is possible) make static compression ratio less of an issue is when you have a properly tuned fuel "enrichment " and ignition system to keep PCP (peak cylinder pressures) after top dead center.
like i said before there is alot more to it than just what he and you posted. THIS is not the thread for that so we can start a new one if you want and discuss it all day long
