hitek: where in atlanta do you live? i live out past Six Flags, off of I-20W.

back tothe original topic question: my last car that i got rid of for my Pro5 was a 1999 Honda Civic Si and although I loved the high revving engine it had, the build quality left much to be desired. although the build quality was better than american cars, it was probably equal to the build quality of a contour.

the Pro5 has a way BETTER quality to it. heck, the dash looks like it should be in a car in a higher price scale. although there are some grievances, this is an $16,000-$20,000 USD car and not a Lexus.

i will say this about the ol' Si(R) though: it does prove that americans CAN build a decent and good quality built car. but it starts w/ good design, engineering and execution. something that GM knows nothing about!

but overall, the Pro5 has been the most fun car I have ever owned...wel....next to my first car: 1992 Sentra SE-R. although it handled and was quick, the Pro5 kills it in looks and overall build quality AND handling IMHO. Be proud ye fellow Pro5 owners! We own one helluva fun car!

Bloke: I too leased my 99 Si(R), (i use the R in parenthesis to prevent confusion w/ fellow canadian neighbours) & had to get out of the lease before it terminated this past May.

this was due to a bad accident (not my fault) that happened in oct. 01'. it really killed the value of it and i didnt want to pay honda any penalties and crap. so, i found a dealer that would let me get out of the Si(R) clean, paying me just what i owed on it. in return i bought a silver Pro5 that now has not one but 4 dings in it from some dumbass soccer moms SUV!!! ARRGHHH!! sorry for the rant there....just pisses me off-ya know?!

although the Pro5 may have cost me a tad more than the Si(R) did when new, i got allot MORE kit w/ it. better tires, better susp., better looking, better quality, wheels, etc...

and the Pro5 definetely is IMHO a better buy than the new Si.

its not that i dont like the car

"I'll never buy chrysler, i think they just suck in quailty... but that's just me..."

Chrysler does suck very badly, uncle had a brand new LaBaron (I think that's how you spell it, my apologies if it's not). This thing was taken to the shop several times monthly. On a brand new car. This is NOT acceptable. I wont touch them with a 10 foot pole . Ahhh, just wait until the day I get my RX-7... I'll laugh at the thought of owning a different car . I wouldn't say it oversteers, maybe at lower speeds but creeping up on 110mph, you'll feel the understeer kick in pretty hard. I tend to enjoy cars that have very very very sensitive steering. Mainly, I can't move my arms around too very fast and I find when I'm moving slowly I have better consistency and accuracy 1000x over. An RX-7 that'll do donuts on a dime... mmm, now that's my kind car!

P.S. I've found my sedan to have pretty close handling to the Integra. They fealt different, but honestly... I couldn't tell you if either of them were better than the other. I'd have to settle on they're about exactly the same (or close enough to where it wouldn't matter).
