Question Any experience with this dealer?

Anyone have any experience with Lindell Mazda in Tampa, Florida? I'm thinking of buying a Protege from them, and want to know if anyone has heard anything about them - good or bad. BTW, if anyone wants to know about South Florida dealers, just ask. I've been looking around a lot lately and think I've got a sense of who's shady and who's decent. Thanks for your help.

Lindell Mazda is also called Tyrone Square Mazda. Why, I don't know. But just want to make sure this thread has the correct info.

hate to burst your bubble but ALL dealers are shadey....it's just how they operate. Some are just more subtle about their shadeyness!!

Good luck to you.

No, that's wrong. Not all dealers are shady, but most, probably. The salesman instantly want to be your best friend, and suddenly are interested in the same things you are. Then, "Wouldn't you like to buy a new car instead?" And then, the finance guy is the worst. I've bought 10 cars private sale, and one I did a trade + cash to buy the car outright. But I've seen how they can run the numbers and deceive people. BTW, I'm a law student interested in consumer law. I'm just hoping this dealer - Tyrone Square Mazda is fairly straightforward. I want the car Mazda Certified, and they would rather sell an aftermarket warranty - because they get a bigger cut. Anyway, that's my two cents. Again, please let me know if anyone has experience with this dealer. Thanks.

Hey guys, just out of curiosity - did anyone give a bad review on the Mazda survey after you purchased your car? It was funny - after I purchased my car - my salesguy literally said that Mazda was going to send me a survey and that if there was anything I was unhappy about to discuss it with him to ensure that I would give him an exemplary review. Schmuck.

ALL dealerships are shadey. I should know. I've worked as a salesman at both Ford and Mazda and a mechanic at Mitsubishi and Ford.....They only stay in business if they can make you spend more than you should....that's being shadey.

Now you are making me feel bad! I don't want anyone to lose their jobs - Needless to say, I didn't give a very good review - actually provided a one page written supplement to the survey.

I have been buying cars for a lot of years, and the good experiences have been very few and far between. I have to say, though, I feel I got one of the best deals I've ever made from my Mazda delaership.
