As I said before I wanted to make my PR5 fast or atleast as fast as I could so I went all out and called Corky himself at BEGI and placed my order for a Turbo which will be here in 5 weeks then headed to my local No Parts In Stock shop (aka NOPI) and picked up a Ingen CAI, Nitros Works wet kit, short shifter and an Apexi exhaust. Then went all out, and since everybody knocks the Tripoint turbo ordered one those for my wifes PR5 (Autostick) just to see how bad they really where even though I told Corky about this and he said he had one of those kits on his Miata that has 120k on it and still runs fine. So all I have to say is you better get yours.
So your gonna put NOS & Turbo on a stock PR5 motor? And then you plan to race it? I will beleive it when I see it. With that setup you will be looking for an upgraded clutch, breaks,etc..You sure you know what your getting into? I would recommend you build motor up before you slap all that HP onto it.

Your injen CAI will be useless once you install the BEGI turbo kit. Good luck with all your mods and let us know if your motor go's BOOM. I agree with TRAVIS you will need to beef up some other parts for proper performance or you will run into trouble.

Can you see the contradiction in your statements? <blah blah blah I'm better than you> ... but I don't mean to sound arrogant. What else could you possibly come accross as?

Any way. Post pics when all the work is done, sounds like a load of cool stuff.

That sounds like a waste of time to me. Why don"t you do it right the first time so it doesn't have to break. I mean, if you have all the money right now, you could just do it all right now, the right way so that you dont have to waste more time at a garage getting **** fixed later on. You sound a little impatient(INJEN intake because 5 weeks is too long to wait for a turbo), so you should really try and minimize the time your car is out of your driveway.

But thats just my 2 cents.

first of all if you blow your motor you also risk blowing out your turbo, so the internal work will turn into new motor/turbo which is quite costly and time consuming. As for being ready for NOPI, nobody is gonna give a rats *** when you blow your motor going down the track You sound like every ricer I run into who thinks you can just slap all this HP onto a car and it wont break. The fact is, these motors were not designed for a turbo, let alone that much hp. How much boost are you gonna run? Do you realize that you can't start up the car, get on the road and race it all you want, then go somewhere and stop the car quickly and get out? Turbo cars are lots of maintenance and you sound like you lack the knowledge to maintain one. Unless you upgrade your internals first, then I guarantee you that you will blow that motor and the beloved TURBO that you installed. I am sure you have the money for all this, however money doesn't overcome ignorance and stupidity.

he says he wants to wait for the stock internals to break before he replaces them, that's fine....cause whatcha gonna do when the freakin rod blows right thru your engine block and the engine is ***'d?????..oh wait you got money you'll just replace it..IMO though if someone had THAT much money they'd just buy a faster car....I know if I had like 25K to spend I wouldnt have bought a Protege(no offense guys)...I would have bought a 350Z or RX-8!!

I totally agree, If I had the money I would buy a much faster platform to build on. Good point about throwing a rod, thats a new block, and quite possibly a Hood I would do internals first, then slap on the HP, but thats just me

Comon guys stop flaming the cool dad!
If he has the money to do all this and even wait til the stock internals break before changing them,he is making himself a moron all by himself.
Have a little mercy for the ricer.
