Hello, and welcome to the club, and our home away from home.

YES the injen will work/fit on your car....BEST? that is somewhat subjective. but it is a good one...and in MY opinion it looks the best.

also....for the exhaust....there are numerous systems out there available...I have the bosal cat-back myself...and love it.

Injen CAI in the cold

Question for those of you using the CAI and live in colder climates, Northern US and Canada.

How does it fair in the winter? Does your gas mileage drop or does the engine seem to run harder?

Thanks.

I live in North Carolina so no the winters arent that bad.

As for the exhaust i think im gonna get the kit from the Mazdaspeed Protege. I read that it sounds great.

Up here in Calgary, Canada, our winters can get COLD! It's not uncommon for the temp to drop below -35*C at night. I had my Injen on through last winter, and noticed no problems. In fact, the engine runs better because of the coldness of the air. After a hard run, pop your hood and look at the pipe. Mine was totally frosted over since it was so cold.

Engines love cold air. Bottom line. It won't hurt it in any way.

CAI & Exhaust

I have the Injen Cai on my car and absolutly love it. Better throttle response and it sound cool as hell after the engine is warmed up. As for the exhaust, I purchased the MAZDASPEED axle back muffler. I finnaly got to her it the other night after coaxing my g/f into driving by my house so I could actually hear it. What a great sound at WOT!!!! Good luck with the decisions you make concerning what you are going to buy, I know I am really happy with mine. As for winter time, I haven't run it in the winter yet, I might just pull the first pipe of and make a short ram out of it for the winter. I'm also going to put on the stock muffler since they use a **** load of salt up here in Michigan in the winter time.
