Looks like you've got posting pics dialed....now how about spellcheck? j/k

I went for the exhaust first, then the intake. You'll get a few hp, not much, but a little extra somethin somethin.

get a intake first, it impoves throttle responce greatly, then get a exhaust. then jspec intake manifold and the cams, if you don't do the manifold or cams, you really won't see a HUGE difference in performance simply b/c the way our powerband works. my advise, get a ebay intake for like 40 bucks, then save and get a performance exhaust. or if you just want looks/sound then get a cheap ebay muffler.

I say save your money and invest in higher quality weed

But if you decide to invest in the car I'm with walight01 and redrims, I did the same but don't expect too much perfomance with just an intake and exhaust, only the sound is noticeably different.

if you have money and want a show product, get the injen goto www.protege5online.com if you just want some performance at the fraction of the cost, goto www.ebay.com and search for mazda protege 5 intake. the injen is a cold air intake and the ebay is a warm air intake. difference in performance is not noticable between the 2 b/c the protege computer has a preset fuel map at wide open throttle so it doesn't matter what the temp sensor is reading.

Personally I would go for exaust then intake. Stock exaust just doesn't look right, I'm not into pea shotters. You might not get a huge difference in performance, but you'll get a little looks for your money too.

Hey,bro
If that's the herb you're growing....you'd better go back to the drawing board...

I agree that the exhaust adds a little flair to the appearance of your car. That's why I got one before the intake. Nobody will ever pull you over to ask you what kind of intake you have.
The Mazdaspeed exhaust is a good choice if you want axel-back. If you're going cat-back, there's a few good brands to choose from. Personally I have a MS exhaust with an ebay(OBX) intake, and i'm stoked with the sound/performance/looks.
