Well, GNO, I got impatient, too. I called them today and talked with Joe. He answered all of my questions and I ended up ordering a set. Apparently they have to send the cams to a machinist and that will probably take a couple of weeks. So... within 3 weeks to a full month they should arrive. I will try to do a dyno test before and after (if I have enough cash). Hopefully I will see similar gains as their test P5, I have pretty much the same mods (wagner header, CAI, MP3 axle-back, no MP3 ECU tho) so this will be a pretty good litmus test. Even if it only shows a 15-18 hp gain, I'll still be happy. This is going to be a long month... I can hardly wait, lol.

[B]Maybe this has been listed, but I wonder how much these will have to be shimmed.

I wonder if andy was able to get around the shimming issue with these?

I called again this morning and placed the order. I can wait another month for the cams. I wouldn't call either of us impatient. The only reason I jumped now rather than wait for a GB is because of the timing belt issue I mentioned earlier. If anything, I've been procrastinating. I should've ordered when the dyno graph was released.

Currently, I just have an Injen intake and Mazdaspeed axelback exhaust. I'll install the OBX header that has been sitting in my garage all winter this weekend since I won't be receiving the cams anytime soon. The MP3 ecu is on my wishlist. Any torque improvement will suffice, I'm not out to win any races or anything. Not in the P5 at least. Just want to make it more fun to drive.

If they have to be shimmed I don't think I'll get them. For 600.00 they should just be drop and drive. Know what I mean?

If you read the manual - even stock cams have a procedure for shimming. It is not hard and should not preclude you from doing it. Manufacturing tolerances in your engine and the cam will require shimming. Unless you get a cam ground specifically for your engine (too $$) with extreme tolerances...

Just quit whining and shim 'em.

I spoke to the guys at Wagner again today, and they verified that these will need to be shimmed. Like P-Funk said earlier, it shouldn't be too difficult *fingers crossed*. I just hope the local Mazda dealer has them in stock.

I do not know what the deal is. I don't really keep in touch with DaveB anymore. I can talk to Wagner and find out though.

Well that don't sound good, hope you didn't get the bad end of a bad deal!
