You should try to put these in your already nice selection of extras with your WOMP kit!! That would be sweet!

I may just do that....however if they're adding 25whp or so by themselves you may start making more power than our tiny little rods would like to handle.

Very true, but thats why it would be an upgradable option! and you can run a GB on the cams themselves seperatly. Just an idea though, you can probably get pleanty of people to buy them either way.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Daveb's results. The cams are a direct drop in, right? I won't need anything extra? I'm planning on installing these at the same time as timing belt and cam seals, water pump etc... is there anything else i should replace while im at it? My pro is at 63k mi, and I was hoping to drop these cams in and take care of some routine maintainence at the same time.

That would be it. Cams, water pump, cam seals and possible accessory belts depending on how they look. I hear they should be swapped out at 60K regardless.

yup yup...water pumps are SO cheap it doesnt make sense NOT to change it out while you've got the car apart. If you run into problems at 75K miles you're going to have to go through all of that trouble again.

Yea I guess so. The water pump was the cause of death for my 91 MR2.

Rod-Man! I checked the owners manual prior to buying the water pump and timing belt (i am at 65K) and it says "INSPECT at 60K, replace at 105K"...

So i will hold off until it gets warmer (and maybe have some cams to drop in while i am in there... )

I hope the dynos come soon, as I am planning on installing my J-spec intake cam soon, and would sell it and wait if these were REALLY worth it.

I was ready to take the plunge and order the cams. I called this morning and got an answering maching, so I left my name and number. No return call by the end of the work day. I hope to hear back tomorrow. I already have a new waterpump and timing belt standing by. Looks like I need to pick up some cam seals, too.

Well, if you do get them, make sure you go and dyno test them too. I really want to know if this is worth my time and $$.

The only dyno they'll hit is the butt dyno or maybe a G-tech, if I can get my hands on one. There isn't a FWD friendly dyno nearby. I'd like to get the cams by this weekend or next. Hopefully, they have a set in stock. I'm at 115k miles so the timing belt is overdue. If I end up waiting on the cams, I probably won't get them for awhile, since my project car needs more attention.
