Wagner 2.0 Cams (Matty)
#168
No tracking number. About a month ago, I ran across a nice deal on a turbo kit. So, I emailed inquiring on the possibility of cancelling the order. They basically said no, because it's a custom order and that it was on it's way back to them. I ordered a lot of stuff recently, and when I saw the UPS guy come up, the cams were the last thing I expected. When I saw the size of the box, I new they were.
It might take awhile before I get around to the installation. I'm in the tailend of a major build-up on my other car. This weekend I had planned on dropping the drivetrain back in, however, I decided to experiment with polishing. So when I do the cam install, I'm going to polish the valve cover.

just curious but how long did it take for you to get your cams after you ordered them? Wagner has had my SC pipes for 8 months and has yet to get me the corrected set (without errors) and all of the couplers and clamps. If any of you speak to him in the next few days let him he know to get back with me. I'm getting REAL pissed off.

Mine finally came in on Wed. the 7th. I ordered them on March 13th, I think.
Due to the amount of labor involved I think I'll let a shop install these. I'll probably have to make a few separate trips though. It may take 2 days to get the shims in, and I can't be without my car for that long. The guy at the local Mazda shop seems to think driving it (lightly) for a day or two without reshimming will actually help things out a bit. So I plan on having the cams installed on Tues, picking my car up that evening, returning Wed. afternoon for gap measurement, and then bringing it back in when the shims arrive. According to the mechaninc, he will be able to get a more accurate measurement once the engine is hot and the cams have "set in." Hopefully, I can visit a dyno this Monday to get some "before" numbers.
