underdrive pulleys and crank pulleys

Question for you all. I was talking to my friend a couple days ago and he told me the easiet way to add a couple HP to my Pro would be to add aftermarket underdrive and crank pulleys. Thing is, I don't think they make them for the 1.6 liter Pros. Now here is my question: Are those types of pulleys vehicle/engine specific? Meaning, can I buy a pulley thats made for a different car but with the same liter engine?

underdrive pulleys lower the effectiveness of thigns hooked up to them. that is a bad thing. the purpose is to even it out on engines that rev particularly high, like ones with lots of other modifications. if you want HP get a new intake and exhaust and then headers
