throttle body

i've been looking around .. but i haven't seen anything. so as a last ditch effort, i'm starting a thread

anyone know if there is a throttle body available for our proteges?

i have looked...but haven't found one yet. have you seen the size of our throttle body? TEENSY TINY if you ask me...but then again, we have an 80mm throttle body on our Focus...

80mm on most cars is completely worthless. FWIW, in terms of flow, the 65mm you see on many V8s is more than enough...but its a tuning property that goes into the rest of the motor.
ummm...yes of course, but i'm so used to looking at a turbo set up that my REALITY is a bit skewed.

when my focus buddies upgraded to the 65mm TBs, they didn't notice hp 'gains' so much as they noticed more/better throttle response...

I've read before that our throttle bodies are more than large enough, and only about 2mm tops could be taken off by a machinist. I have seen a larger one for sale, or at least talk about it. I think Perfworks may have one IIRC from the other forums, www.protege5.com
