which is why any sort of insulation on that stuff is good. Of course it will still heat soak eventually, but it'll take longer.

Now this could be fun!

Nick,
My suggestion may not be the prettiest, but it will help. Im also lookin into weathere or not the "cool cans" that alot of people use on their drag cars will work. JESSE? I wasnt sure if they would hold that much pressure. Anyway, its a aluminum can type thingy with a lid that unscrews and is insullated. You fill with ice and your fuel runs through a coil on the can. Cooloing fuel thus cooling fuel rail also? C'mon JES! insight here! Would it work?....................Duncan

or you could coil some metal tubing around your intake.. i assume its a cai. and hook it up to a bottle of co2. just spray your bottle and i beleave that should cool the tubing there for your intake. and co2 isnt ungodly expencive. i guess it would take some rigging or you could jack some parts of a nitrous system. but then again i could be wrong.

The flexible lunchbox ice bag thing really does work. My old man and I help out a friend of his fairly often with his '62 Impala Bubble Top with a 409 and that's what we put on the fuel log and the fuel lines as they come across the engine bay. We also wrapped the lines in aluminum to keep the leftover fuel from freezing and help hold the cold at a little more of a constant temp. It just gets so hot and humid here in NC in the summer, we do just about anything to keep some of that heat from getting into the engine. If I'm not mistaken, I have seen the co2 idea in kit form from some company here recently. It may heve been in a magazine or something. I know that's not much help, but I'll look and see if I can't find it.
