problems after reseting ecu

i changed spark plugs and messed around with my intake. after, i reset the ecu by leavingthe negative wire unplugged for 15 mins, then i went out and turned the key and held the brake for 10 secs. i put the neg wire back on and the car wouldnt start. then i would wiggle the wires around tried resetting the ecu again and it didnt work. i then just messed with the wires, tried starting the car again and it worked. and every now and then i have the same problem, what do i do?

Did you twist/fold/spindle [what is THAT?] the MAF wires? I darn near pulled them out of thier connector [dumbdumbdumb] and they would intermittently cut the engine off/cause it to sputter....

"What wires did you 'mess around with' to get it started?" (Don't miss the CLUE here!

So check the wires, connectors, etc. very thoroughly. When it is running - mess with each individual wire to see if it causes the engine to stumble or quit.
