Is this possible-Engine swap?
Since people have been talkin about engine swaps, thanks for the GT-R idea Blue LEDz, would it be possible to put the 1.6L Miata (BPT i think) engine in and mod the hell out of it???

The only thing you need to worry about with putting in a GTR swap into your car is either finding a FWD tranny that will work, or getting the RWD setup to work. I guess since the GTR is AWD, you can disconnect the drive shaft, but it may not be as easy as you may think.

let's put it this way. if you got the money, anything is possible. if i had the cash, i'd probably put in a 20B rotary the 1.6L is the B6T, i think. it won't work with our tranny is what corksport told me. any swap will be very involved. as a budget swap, i'm looking into the KL-ZE or duratec swap. if corksport can put in a 210 hp GT-R engine, why can't i put in a KL-ZE and turbo it? maybe even twin turbo. it's all about the money. i don't have enough to briggs and straton in my car now
what i want to know, is how much would a swap like what corksport did cost? just use the BPT with 180 hp instead of the GT-R for a budget swap. if it's comprable in price to a turbo upgrade, why not just swap it out? corksport did not use a 3rd gen pro tranny (i think), and used different axles, so you won't have the weak transmission and axles of the 3rd gens. any thoughts? maybe something new from BLT! yeah, i wish.

now thatd be a sweet swap into my p5.... wouldnt happen though
