Oil Cooler

Oil Cooler
I'm making plans and doing research and pricing for my spring turbo application.
I'm curious if anyone has any experience with oil coolers and what are the pro's and con's of this upgrade.
Thanks in advance.

with the addition of a turbo....which means more heat load on the oil.....it can only be a GOOD THING....and if you live in an area with sever winters....its easy to make a cover to block it off in the winter time....
also.....you can put a temperature operated valve that will only allow flow through the cooler after the oil reaches a specific temp.
I have a Harley.... and they have a add on oil cooler for its system if you are planing to pull a trailer....or if you just live in a REALLY hot climet.....
anyway....they have a valve like I spoke of that you could use for this application....its set at 160 deg F....you hook it up in line with the inlet and outlet lines....prior to 160 deg it just bypasses the cooler....once oil temp reaches 160 it starts to direct the oil through the cooler. .....
