OBX intake EBAY

the bid says the OBX intake for a 1996-2002 protege which is making me become a lil iffy about the whole thing. i look on the site and OBX says they make an intake for the 1.5 liter but it says for proteges 99-up. this site has been getting their protege years severly messed up. i dont see a place for the maf sensor in the bid either... i dont think i should get it but maybe im wrong?

You are correct. The 1.6 liter has a different MAF type than every other Protege that has ever been in the United States.. so this intake won't work directly on your car.

This intake on eBay has no place for your MAF sensor. You would have to weld in a plate somehow into one of these pipes to hold your MAF.

Anyway, won't work on your car without modification.

It'd work on any other 1.8 or 2.0 liter Protege of the 3rd gen. The only premade intake for your 1.6 is the Injen intake.

The obx one is cheap though, so if thats your thing go for it!
