Hi All.

First.... the sensors have been repositioned so the engine light warning doesn't show. The header company have worked out a formula of where to locate the sensor so it doesn't affect the cpu. So far it has stayed off.

Conversion to AUD to US at the moment is US$1 = AUD$1.81 so the chip is pretty much a bargain. I have read reviews that it tricks the cCPU to think their is a richer fule mixture and hence more power. though am a little sceptical with this mod. I prefer the mechanical mods first.

CRAZ0... yeah no problem. I paid $95.00 for the K&N Airfilter. It was hard to get hold of locally and had it flown in from Melbourne. I guess others here in Adelaide are too wimpy to do up their SP20 or Laser SR2. I was looking at the powerchip upgrade but as mentioned above I have a lot of work to do to the car still. Got a quote for a 2 1/4 system cat back (only one now-sweet), with a jap exhaust with sound being tuned to a nice growl rather than huge grunt for a $1000, but choked, this included a high flow cat to match. The guy being mates with the header company (which I got for free as I lent him my car as a test car) said to call back next January after I have finished my header test etc...and he'll see what he can do. He hinted at maybe doing it for around $400 as he wants to mass market an upgrade system for the SP20 as well. So how is your echaust upgrade feel ? difference ????

The headers will likely cost around AUD$600-$AUD800 depending on other modifications needed. I'm getting my final set in January ceramic coated as well for AUD$150.

The system feels good more responsive and bloody louder I got it measured at 98db at 4000rpm it has a resonator and a cannon muffler with a 4" tip, I payed $800 but didn't get a high flow cat.
I think I'll do the filter next you don't happen to know the part number for that K&N panel filter?
Try and let us know when the headers are available thank's.
